The Blackwater Community First Responders (CFR) group has received a €500 donation from Kell Local Heroes to help replace a damaged defibrillator in the town.
The life-saving device, which had been out of action due to damage, is now set to be replaced thanks to the generous contribution from the local volunteer group.
Blackwater CFR, a volunteer-run organisation, plays a crucial role in responding to emergency cardiac incidents in the area, often arriving on scene before ambulance services. Their quick response times and community focus have made them an essential part of local emergency care.
We’re proud to support the CFR group and ensure our town stays equipped with the tools needed to save lives.
There are now several defibrillators located across the town, thanks to ongoing voluntary fundraising and continued support from local groups and businesses. These efforts reflect the strong community spirit in Blackwater, where neighbourly action continues to make a real difference.
